Meeting with Frédéric GAMBERT, Director of Purchasing France
Despite the emergency and the unprecedented situation, ATALIAN was able to react very quickly. Between shortages, sharp price increases and difficulties in choosing trusted suppliers, Frédéric GAMBERT, Purchasing Director for France, managed to provide each employee with the necessary protective equipment to deal with COVID-19. We met him this week…
Masks, hydroalcoholic gel, gloves, but also sometimes disposable overalls, overshirts and wipes, Frédéric’s daily challenge was – and still is – not to lack anything.
I chose to work only with suppliers who were already known and referenced, or with suppliers who had been recommended to us. For example, our first order of masks was placed with a supplier recommended by the FEP. At the height of the crisis, we gave priority to the availability and quality of the products purchased, even if it meant paying a little more. The safety of our employees is a priority.
Frédéric has agreed to provide us with some figures for orders placed centrally in France* :

MILLION MASKS

LITRES OF HYDROALCOHOLIC GEL

MILLION GLOVES
Close collaboration with each of the stakeholders : QHSE for the validation of sourced products; Operations for volume forecasts; but also with General Services for the implementation of a specific logistics circuit (storage and distribution) has enabled us to provide an effective response to this situation.
We can only salute the determination and investment of Frédéric GAMBERT and his teams to enable all our employees to be safe in this health crisis!
* In addition to these figures, there are, of course, the orders that the various agencies have been able to place from time to time.
